Well today continues to be a day of MIRACLES. It turns out that Don ate enough by mouth last night that he didn't need supplemental feeding. This morning he sat up a chair for over 30 minutes. He was also able to write most of his name with a pencil. They are looking at moving him to the rehabilitation floor tomorrow to start working out in a gym in real clothes! We can't wait to post those pictures. The hope is that he will be home in 2-4 weeks. Thanks be to God for all the miracles for Don. Please continue to pray as the weeks ahead will include lots of hard work. Please also pray for the many families that we met in the waiting rooms whose loved ones are still critical.

Wow, oh wow is God so GOOD and He is ALL the time! It's such a blessing and thrilling to hear all the good things God is doing in Don's life. Yes, it will be a long road of healing and recovery, but Don has such an amazing support system that I know he will make it. Don, hang in there and use that Eaton grit and determination to carry on. You've already shone us the stuff you're made of and God has a plan for you. much love and prayers, Karen C.
More woonderful news. So glad to hear it. I am rejoicing with all those who are there with Don. Wish I could be there with you all. I'm working on that situation. Praise God. Hang in there Don. Lots of Love
Don, we are so grateful to God and to you for your partnership with God in the incredible progress you're making. We've looked forward to reading each new blogpost the past couple of days. There's still much road ahead, but the road leads to home in Olathe rather than our common home with the Lord. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

I hope everyone knows what a huge thing this is. I sat with the family just one week ago yesterday (Thursday) and listened to the neurologist as he spoke to them about Don’s grave condition. The doc showed them the CAT scan from that morning, comparing it to the one taken just 48 hours prior. I myself heard him say that Don would NEVER speak again nor would he ever swallow again. I recall Dale asking the doctor if he had EVER had anyone recover after having the damage such as Don had. That doctor looked them in the eye (didn’t blink once) and responded by saying, “NEVER.” So, with Don now able to swallow and digest food, it is nothing short of a miracle. So, I am joining you and the rest of the family as we thank God for this miracle. I’m sure this doctor is a bit mystified by all that has happened with Don. This morning I read these words from Paul…to Timothy, “At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. BUT THE LORD STOOD AT MY SIDE AND GAVE ME STRENGTH.” II Tim. 4:16. As I read these words, I recall the words of Pastor Vanderpool as he quoted Paul Cunningham several years ago in a similar situation. The doctors gave no hope but Paul turned the paper over (where the docs had written a hopeless message) and simply wrote on the back….”BUT GOD Pastor Dennis Apple
