Feel free to leave messages for the family. They love reading your messages and Don will enjoy them in the future. I know it is hard to reach them because they are either with Don or home resting. Also, cell phones are not allowed in the area where Don is and it is not possible to return all the phone calls they receive. They are reading the blog and your words of encouragement are much appreciated. Also, during the hours of 6:30-8:30 AM and PM they are not allowed to be with Don while he is in NICU. I know for sure that they are trying to grab some sleep during the AM time and getting dinner during the evening time. If you want to stop by the hospital, there is a phone outside the unit and you can call and have a family member notified that you are there if there is noone in the waiting room.

Uncle Donny We love you and are praying for you and the whole family here. I have added you to the prayer chain at our church.
Love, Missy
In the 14 years I worked with Don, my admiration for his incredible Christian character grew daily. While we worked together, Don's pastor's heart made him a shepherd to his co-workers through many trials, and for me personally, he has became a Christian father figure I'd never had. Don and Barbara, we love you so much and our prayers are unceasing. As much as Don loves the Lord, we know He loves Don even more. We're trusting in that loving care right now for your whole family.

Dearest Barbara and Don,
You and your family have been constantly in our thoughts and prayers since we heard. We pray that the peace of God that passes all our understanding, and His love, compassion, comfort and grace envelope each of you during this very difficult time. You know how much we love you.

Barbara, Mary, Josh and Britney, Our prayers are for Don's recovery and for his family as well. Don is an incredible example of how Christ works in the daily life of His servant. We miss him in the office. Each time we hear a bad report on his condition, we stop work and gather for prayer. Please know that your friends love and support you.

Barb, Don and Kids, I am so very sorry you are going through this awful trial. God is near. I am reminded of the hymn "The Lord knows the way through the wilderness...all I have to do is follow." I am praying for you. Nancy Olson
Britney - thank you for the note and the encouraging news! I know we aren't out of the woods, but as I've heard things from my folks they have both been so impressed with the strength and clarity you and Josh have shown and provided for your mom and everyone else. We might not be in our MNU cheer uniforms anymore, but God's energy and spirit in you are shining through STILL! We are prayting for you and your family...we love you, please call - bring the boys by and take a nap! :o) You're doing great - keep hoping, keep praying and know that we are doing the same. Love you friend!
