Work has begun on the Eaton home to get ready for Don to come home. A shower is being added to the laundry room because we have been told that Don is a "3 shower a day man". This will make things much easier. Thanks so much to Stuart Clark and his crew. Barbara is spending the weekend in Lincoln and both Barbara and Don would love to read some messages on the blog. Is there anyone out there who can top 3 showers a day?

Hi Don, I am an MNU (MANC) alumni. I graduated in 1993 and remember seeing you around the campus. I also remember hearing Barbara sing a beautiful song at College Church. You have been on quite a journey lately and I have been following along and praying for you and your family. I hope to keep getting updates until you are back at MNU. Karen Horner
How about 3 showers a week? I only do that when I'm trying to annoy Dwight :-)
I have become addicted to the "reality TV" of your blog. I tune in often so as to not miss a thing! I have been blessed by things I have read here.

The plumbing went in on the shower today and the floor - at least what will go under the flooring. I heard you 2 went on a date today. We need a double date really soon. We may need to come to Lincoln and take you out on the town. I also have stories (Kathy) about my sweet little mother washing my mouth out with soap - it was laundry bar soap - more about that later. Looking forward to your return home.

Well, Don, I can't top 3 showers a day now...however, since I can remember you (and I) chasing that buffalo calf around for the auction while its mother was earnestly desiring to charge us, I'm sure that 3 showers would not have been a bad idea then!

Josh is working to get the barn area cleaned up for your first visit. He and Dale have been out the past two weekends mowing and moving stuff around. Josh is coming out during the week getting acquainted with the horses. He indicated that he halters Streke and takes him out for a bite of grass. Socks is proving to be more difficult for Josh to get the halter on. I told Josh that Ronda and I will help him with getting all of the horses halter broken.
Ronda has some free time now after her employer closed the clinic. She is looking at the possibility of being a therapist at a therapeutic riding fcility in south Overland Park. She is not sure she can physically do it due to her back and neck problems. She is spending some time with her sisters on the island of St. Croix so she should be ready to touch some horses. She almost didn't go because she woudl not get her horse fix for over 20 days. You know what it is like to miss being around the horses. We can't wait to see you back at the barn.
Our neighbor Lisa (the lady who walked the dog all of the time) and her husband Rick looked out for your horses while I was away for 10 days. Mike Douglass, the owner of the barn where our horses are boarded, put some hay in for the horses. Everyone is pitching in to help you and are looking forward to welcoming you back at the barn.

We missed you and Barbara at the President's Dinner last night. Our western theme could have use some additional saddles, tack and barn implements from your collection. We had some from our son-in-law, but yours would have filled it out well.
During the preparation of the tribute for the Pioneer Pride Recipients for 2008 I went downstairs in Lunn to read the names of former honorees and saw your name for 1995. I incorporated that experience and your name in the tribute. It read, "In 1995, the Pioneer Pride Award was given to Dr. Don Eaton, Director of Development. He is our colleague and friend who today is appropriating the power of his faith, vision, and dogged endurance as he strives to recover from the effects of a major stroke. We were proud of him then and we are proud of him now."
I thought you'd like to know that.
